Legal Framework
Last Updated: April 2026
By engaging Paperclip Production for fixing, line production, or general production support in Nepal, you (the "Client") agree to the following terms and operational guidelines. These terms ensure a smooth, legal, and professional workflow for both parties.
To secure our services, local crew, and initiate the government permitting process, a standard advance payment of 50% of the estimated budget is required prior to the commencement of pre-production. The remaining balance must be cleared as per the agreed-upon schedule in the final contract.
Nepal’s geographical landscape, especially in the Himalayas, is subject to unpredictable and extreme weather conditions. Paperclip Production shall not be held liable for shoot delays, cancellations, or additional logistical costs caused by Acts of God, including but not limited to:
Any additional days required due to Force Majeure will be billed at actual logistical costs.
The Client is solely responsible for acquiring comprehensive Production Insurance and Equipment Insurance covering their foreign crew and international gear before arriving in Nepal. Paperclip Production handles the insurance solely for the locally hired Nepalese crew as mandated by local labor laws.
All foreign crew members must strictly adhere to the laws of Nepal. This includes respecting cultural and religious sites, following restricted area guidelines, and strictly flying drones only in locations approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). Paperclip Production reserves the right to halt production if the Client attempts to bypass legal regulations.
Unless a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is signed barring us from doing so, Paperclip Production reserves the right to use Behind-The-Scenes (BTS) photos and mention the Client's project in our portfolio, website, and social media channels only after the official release or broadcast of the project.
